Ive had wooden paneling added to reception 2 and I'm at the point now of making a decision on the paint colour! This dilemma has kept me from sleeping...When I do manage to get some sleep, I'm dreaming that I'm hanging off a cliff and Capri, shouting "who is that child"?
2 choices - Both colours are Farrow and Ball.
On the left we have Railings - on the right we have Off Black.
Railings?
Off Black?
I'll be removing all furniture from this room ( Reception 2 ) as we need to make space for this...

ReplyDeleteRailings, for shizzle - the blue tones against the black add an inky intrigue and the shadows will be ones that you'll want to dive into. Off Black will be nice, but not mysterious.

ReplyDeleteAt first I thought off black, but it seems a bit flat (like chalkboard paint). Railings has great depth.

ReplyDeleteHave you ever used or experimented with milk paint on walls? From what I understand, it supposedly has a similar very flat, velvety depth to the color to it. Curious if you had any thoughts on it. I know the farrow and ball is quite pricey and have considered milk paint as an alternative. I wonder if you could achieve a similar look and color finish with using that as an alternative to a product like F&B or equivalent clay based esoteric paints?
